Sculpted sugarpaste

         
I am a self-taught cake artist with an extensive fine arts  background. 
I earned a bachelor’s of fine arts degree in sculpture from  Maine College of Art
and I continue to exhibit my artwork in both Maine and NY.  

My true passion is conceptual sculpture. I turned to cake decorating after the birth of our daughter.  I was looking for a creative way to suppliment our income as a stay at home Mom.  I also wanted my daughter to have fun, decorated celebration cakes, since cakes are always a highlight at kids birthday parties.  Sugar art was a natural progression...so began my love of decorating.  

With the knowledge gained from baking with my grandmother, I've developed many of my own recipes.  You simply do not need eggs or dairy to make rich, satisfying desserts.  Roughly 90% of my customers are non-vegetarians.

two cats, "Zombie" & "Mala"
