Pricing:   Traditional icing for classic flavors begins at $3.00 per slice.
                  Fondant covered cakes begin at $4.00 per slice.
                  Sculpted & hand painted cakes are $100.00 minimum and priced individually.              



Cake servings are expressed in "number of people to be served":     
Per industry standard, the serving size used for all our layer cakes is:   3 to 4" tall x 2" long x 1" thick. For sheet cakes the serving size is:   2" tall x  2" long x  2" thick.  If you prefer "larger than normal" servings, than additional cake may be ordered.  Cake cutting guides available upon request.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ):

Cakes without eggs or dairy? Aren’t vegan cakes dry, and tasteless?:
Not ours! We don't do dry cake and we don't do boring. The majority (90%) of our customers
are non-vegetarians and we get rave reviews on our cakes!!   

* We don't use grocery store shortenings, or  any other artery blocking ingredients.  
We use a professional grade, hi-ratio, non-hydrogenated, trans fat free all vegetable shortening that you won't find in the grocery store.*


What do you mean by  "made from scratch" ?:
We do not use mixes at all.  We make our cakes and icing using high quality ingredients. 
Our cakes are homemade....not "semi-homemade".   :o)


When should I order my cake?: 
As a general rule for weddings, we suggest you book two to six months in advance.  For all other celebration cakes we suggest one week.  *We can often accommodate last minute orders, however there may be a  $20.00 RUSH fee attached.   Call to schedule an appointment.

 
Why don't you use animal products?

We are a vegan household, so we bake that way.  We find it's a guilt-less way to indulge a sweet tooth while being kind to the environment...  *Don't worry, we won't try to convert you.  :o)   

I'm not vegan, why can't you use eggs and dairy in my order? 
I don't stock eggs or dairy in my home, nor do I ever use them.  Honestly, I  don't want the potentially hazardous bacteria from eggs and dairy contaminating my family or your cakes.

Do you make Gluten-free treats?
Yes can, however our kitchen is NOT gluten-free.  (see our allergy notice below)
If you have a life-threatening food allergy, let us know, we will try and refer you to an allergen-free bakery.  

Are you licensed/inspected?
Yes, in Maine that is the law.  Our fully licensed home bakery is inspected by the State health department and city each year.

(soy, wheat, gluten, corn, chocolate, nuts, yeast...) please be aware that we use these products in our home.   We take great care to sanitize equipment and surfaces between uses, however cannot guarantee the absence of these allergens in any alternatively made dessert.  Please be aware that food allergies can be very serious.**



I do not make cakes, fillings or icings that require refrigeration.

My cakes can be refrigerated to retain moisture during storage,
